Airbag Light On
What do you do when the car's airbag light comes on? All modern cars have a warning system that alerts you if something is wrong. It is a sensitive system that sometimes gives unnecessary warnings. Sometimes the airbag light can come on even if there is nothing actually wrong. This could be due to a system malfunction. Some systems are checked again, but airbags are so important that if a malfunction occurs, the system is immediately shut down and the warning light comes on.
To find out what has happened, a fault code reader must be connected and the fault code read out.
Once you have the code, you can determine if it is a code that requires a part to be replaced. You can reset/delete the code and start the car and take it for a drive; if the light comes on immediately, there is a serious fault in the system that needs to be repaired. With the help of the fault code, you can certainly figure out what needs to be repaired or replaced.
If the airbag light does not come on again, it was probably just a temporary malfunction.
The fault code readers below can read fault codes for airbags/SRS airbags on most car brands.
