Using the SD404 Smoke Leak Detector

1. Fill with approximately 30 ml of smoke oil (first time). One filling lasts up to 30 minutes.

2. Open the hood and remove the air filter (on some vehicles, the mass air flow sensor also needs to be removed).

3. Connect the air intake adapter to the engine's intake hose and seal it.

4. Connect red clamp to + and black clamp to - on the car battery.

5. Turn on the power – after about 1 minute, the system will fill with smoke and any leaks will be visible.

6. After the test – disconnect the cables and store the accessories.

7. Always drain the smoke oil after use to prevent particle precipitation.

NOTE:

• Do not use for more than 8 minutes at a time – let the unit rest between tests.

• Avoid using near sensitive components.

• Protect your hands from the hot unit.
