How to use:
Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir and remove the cap of the brake fluid tester. Dip the test probe into the brake fluid up to the plastic part of the unit.
How to check fluid quality:
Press the power button, the green LED will light up.
Insert the tester into the reservoir for one second, and the results will be accurately indicated by the LEDs.
Indications:
Green: Battery OK, i.e.: No water present in the brake fluid.
Green / Yellow: Less than 1% water content in the brake fluid.
Green / Yellow / Yellow: Approx. 2% water content in the brake fluid.
Green / Yellow / Yellow / Red: Approx. 3% water content in brake fluid, the brake fluid should be changed.
Green / Yellow / Yellow / Red / Red: At least 4% Water content in the brake fluid. The brake fluid must be replaced.

How Does it Work?
This OBD2 brake fluid test pen is used to test the moisture content and quality of brake fluids (DOT3, DOT4, DOT5).
Result Indicators:

Green LED lights up: Moisture content in brake fluid H₂O <1.5 %. Fluid is approved.

Yellow LED lights up: Moisture content H₂O = 1.5–3 %. Brake fluid can be used but should be tested again in six months.

Red LED lights up: Moisture content H₂O >3 %. Brake fluid must be replaced immediately.

Red LED blinks: Battery needs to be replaced.

Yellow LED: Low moisture content – check again in six months.

Green LED: Battery is working and brake fluid contains no moisture.
Working Theory
The brake fluid test pen works by measuring changes in conductivity to determine the moisture content in the brake fluid. The LED lights clearly show the amount of moisture in the fluid. High moisture content lowers the boiling point, which can negatively affect brake performance.
Please Note:
- Only for testing DOT3, DOT4, and DOT5 brake fluids.
- Replace the battery if the green LED does not light up when pressing the power button.
- Wash the test probe with running water after use.
- In case of skin contact with brake fluid, wash skin or clothing thoroughly with water.
- Do not expose brake fluid to air for extended periods as it is highly hygroscopic (attracts moisture).
- Battery not included – purchase LR03 AAA batteries locally.
