Tester instructions:
The brake fluid pen works by measuring conductivity to determine moisture levels in the brake fluid. It clearly shows how much moisture is in the brake fluid using the LED lights. High moisture levels can lead to a lower boiling point and negatively affect braking performance. Here is a summary of the meaning of the LED lights:
- Green LED: Brake fluid is in good condition, less than 3% water content.
- Yellow LED: Water content is approximately 2%, brake fluid can continue to be used.
- Red LED: Water content is more than 4%, brake fluid must be replaced immediately.
- Flashing red LED: Time to change the battery.
Please note:
- Change the battery if the green LED light no longer illuminates after pressing the power button.
- Wash the test probe with tap water after use.
- In case of contact with brake fluid, wash skin or clothes thoroughly with water.
- Do not expose brake fluid to the atmosphere for a long time, as the fluid is highly hygroscopic.
