Product Description:

Intelligent display for detecting water content in brake fluid:

  • If the water content is <1.5%, the screen displays green, indicating that the brake fluid is water-free – use with caution.

  • If the water content is <3%, the screen displays grey. The brake fluid is working well, but should be tested frequently.

  • If the water content is >3% to 4%, the screen displays red and a beep sounds – the brake fluid must be replaced immediately!

Test Preparation:
Unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir and remove the protective cover from the pen's probe. Lightly press the power button, hold it for three seconds to activate the brake fluid type setting after the screen illuminates.

Testing water content:

  1. Select the correct type: DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 according to the fluid being tested.

  2. Submerge the metal probe into the brake fluid reservoir so that both electrodes are in contact with the fluid surface.

  3. Assess the condition of the brake fluid based on the water content shown on the display.

  4. After the test is completed, all indicators will turn off after 1 minute and the pen will enter power-saving mode. The battery lasts a long time due to low energy consumption. The product is recommended to be stored in the car for easy and quick checking of brake fluid quality.

Note:

  1. Avoid the metal probe touching anything during battery installation.

  2. Wipe the metal probe with a dry cloth or paper after each test.

  3. In case of skin contact – wash immediately with plenty of water.

  4. Brake fluid should not be exposed to air for extended periods as it is highly hygroscopic (absorbs moisture).

Test Preparation:
Unscrew the cover of the brake fluid reservoir and remove the probe guard cover of the test pen. Press the power button lightly, and press it for three seconds after the screen display to turn on the setting of brake fluid type.

Test the water content:
1. Select DOT 3/4/5.1 according to the type of brake fluid being tested.
2. Immerse the metal probe on the front of the pen in the brake fluid in the reservoir, making sure that both probes are in contact with the surface of the fluid.
3. Judge the performance of the brake fluid by the water content on the display.
4. After completing the test, all indicator lights will turn off after 1 minute and the pen will enter the power saving mode. A battery can be used for a long time and consumes little power. It is recommended that this device be kept in the vehicle to keep track of brake fluid quality, and is easy and quick to operate.

Notes:
1. When installing the battery, the metal probe should not touch any object.
2. After each test, wipe off any liquid from the metal probe with a dry cloth or paper.
3. If the skin comes into contact with brake fluid, wash the skin thoroughly with water immediately.
4. Do not expose the brake fluid to air for long periods of time, as brake fluid is highly absorbent.
